Whether it be making your cake, trimming your dress or photographing your wedding day, wedding vendors play a key role in the success of your wedding day. We wedding vendors are passionate about bringing our passion and our art to our product so that brides and grooms and their families can have fantastic experiences and great memories of their wedding day.
This Project is about going behind the scenes of wedding vendors and seeing them preparing for or being in the heat of the action on your wedding but also getting to know them in a more deeper sense. Wedding vendors are humans too. We are all here to serve each other.

THE PROJECT: Wedding Vendors Spotlight - Behind The Scenes

THE APPROACH: Initial Interview (Getting To Know You - The Vendor) followed by Documentary Photography of you in action.

THE DETAILS: We Wedding Vendors are a huge part of the wedding day whether a bride/groom know it or not. This project is my way of getting to know a few of you, taking documentary photographs of you and your work and also featuring you on my blog/website/Facebook. In return, I’m hoping we can be good friends and hopefully be bonded through our passion of art and business of our wedding trade.

Firstly, we will meet to discuss details but also ask questions about you as I want to get to know you better than “that cake person”. Why are you passionate about your cakes? What is it about weddings that draws you? Or if you do just a few weddings, we can also ask why you’re passionate about baking? Video? Photography? Bridal dresses and fabrics?

Secondly, we then figure out a date and location to do some behind the scenes. It would be good to have some action happening but even if most of your prep is pouring yourself a cup of tea and writing some notes on your favourite chair, I want to document that.

COST: This project takes time to develop and I really dig into who you are and what you’re passionate about and then I brainstorm ideas for the documentary session as how best to execute it. This also involves 45-90 minutes of time for a session that I reserve for you and in the end you get JPEGs you can use for social media, galleries, etc as well as a copy of the Q&A if you so desire. At the moment, I’m only charging $350 for all this. The big benefit is that I get to know you and you get to know me.
