Fairhaven, Washington

My wife and I took a trip earlier this year to a place called Fairhaven. Normally when we go down to the USA, we'll go to the usual places: Bellingham (Bellis Fair), Tulalip and Seattle Premium Outlets (Shopping) and if we get adventurous, Seattle (not to mention Glazers Camera store!!).

This time, though, we decided to take a detour off the usual path and head to a place called Fairhaven. It's really nice to take a break from the big town feel of things. Fairhaven is a tiny town filled with quite a few treasures and ... personality. We don't regret the detour at all and wouldn't mind going back again, if only to refill our empty olive oil bottles!

Anyways, here are a few images I took of what we explored in Fairhaven, WA.

There were so many kinds of pepper here in this store! We ended up buying a smoked applewood variety (I believe that's what it was called).

I had no idea there were so many flavors and varieties of olive oil. Chipotle was one that I thought was really good. We ended up with a tuscan flavor and ended up using it VERY quickly!

Heat-wrapping our olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We had many a day where we would break out some bread and just dip it in these.

There's a little beach park area at the end of town. It was cloudy but still beautiful nonetheless.

If you look closely, you'll see a child near the center of the image. I thought the child really made the photograph and gave it a more personal feel.

This piano is actually inside a candy store that we dropped by. The gentleman at the store is a musician (saxophone and bass)  and he'll have people come out and play and jam here. Who knew? :)And yes, I did drop some tunes with him.

Right next to the olive oil store is this quaint little book store.
