Kim and Jeremy's Wedding - Seconding for John Bello

There might have been some snow that day...

There might have been some snow that day...

I recall the feeling of slight panic when I realized that my tires were starting to slip and weren't gaining traction. My little Honda Fit didn't really have the tires (or suspension) to be able to dig through a good 3 feet of fresh snow that had dropped on Delta and the rest of the Lower Mainland. This all happened as I was making my way to photograph as a secondary for John Bello for the big event: Kim and Jeremy's wedding. Thankfully, and also partly by some miracle, I was able to rock my car back and forth and find some grip and ever so slowly make my way up the slippery and buried-in-snow slight incline to Jeremy's house.

This was the first day of the infamous 2017 snowstorm that hit our area but, like any dedicated wedding photographer, I wasn't going to let that stop me... well, it almost did but I still managed to make my way to Jeremy's house and start the day and photograph until the end with John Bello.

Throughout the day, dnow continued to come down during the ceremony in Burnaby and even harder during the reception but thankfully we all got to the locations in one piece and thankfully got home safe.

It's actually really hard to get a good hug photograph so I always try to position myself to get a decent angle to capture expression.

After some portrait time in the snow, I caught Kim and Jeremy in this moment as we were walking back to the car.

I always love that look when you're dancing with your husband or wife for the first time.

It was a fantastic day despite the crazy amount of snow that we received that day but I am thankful for the opportunity nonetheless to photograph these amazing events.
